Care When it's Needed Most
Jory Behavioral Health provides residential treatment for adults who are dealing with severe and persistent mental illnesses.
The people we serve are experiencing symptoms that make it difficult for them to live safely on their own. Our treatment program offers a safe, structured environment where individuals can focus on treatment, stabilization and recovery.
Treating Individuals with Severe Mental Illnesses
Jory Behavioral Health provides care for individuals who cannot safely live on their own because of their mental health struggles. The people we serve are living with serious mental health conditions such as psychotic disorders, schizophrenia, or bipolar disorder that, at times, affects their ability to safely meet daily needs.
For some individuals, untreated or unstable symptoms have led to situations where their personal safety, or the safety of others, could not be maintained in the community. We provide treatment to address the underlying mental health symptoms, support recovery, and help individuals move toward greater stability, autonomy, and community integration. Across all pathways, Jory Behavioral Health is committed to trauma-informed, person-centered care that recognizes each individual’s strengths, promotes dignity, and balances personal recovery with the safety of the individual and the broader community.
All admissions to Jory Behavioral Health come through formal referrals from the courts, county mental health programs, or the Oregon Health Authority. These referrals are made when a secure treatment setting is clinically and legally appropriate. We do not accept self-referrals. Most of the adults we treat fall into one of these categories.
Civil Commitment Clients
Individuals ordered by the court to receive mental health treatment in a secure setting due to their inability to care for their basic needs or the risk of harming themselves or others.
Psychiatric Security Review Board Clients
These adults have been found "Guilty Except for Insanity" and placed under the jurisdiction of the Psychiatric Security Review Board for treatment in lieu of incarceration.
Aid and Assist Clients
Individuals who are not able to aid and assist in their own criminal defense due to mental illness and ordered by the court to receive mental health treatment to restore competency.
Care Rooted in Compassion
Care at Jory Behavioral Health prioritizes patient safety and promotes recovery to help clients regain their independence over time.
Our treatment centers are locked facilities with around the clock care and supervision. We provide individualized treatment plans for each of our residents and access to a wide range of therapeutic services:
Medication Management
Psychiatric oversight, medication education, and 24-hour nursing support.
Individual Therapy
Trauma-informed, evidence-based psychotherapy tailored to each client’s needs.
Group Therapy
Skills-based and process groups that foster connection, insight, and accountability.
Recreation Therapy
Structured physical and leisure activities that promote health, social skills, and resilience.
Case Management
Coordination of care, discharge planning, and support for long-term recovery goals.
Skills Training
Structured training to teach individuals essential life, social and coping skills to improve daily functions and achieve greater stability and independence.
While each client’s journey is unique, most individuals stay in treatment at Jory Behavioral Health for six months up to two years. Our goal is to help our clients eventually reintegrate into their communities. When they are ready to transition to a lower level of care, our team will find the perfect program to allow them to continue building upon their success.
Caring for the Whole Person is our Whole World
At Jory Behavioral Health, we believe every person deserves to be seen for who they are, not defined by their diagnosis, their worst moments, or the circumstances that brought them to treatment. Behind every serious mental health condition is a human being with a story, strengths, and the capacity for growth and recovery.
Caring for people with complex mental health needs takes skill, patience, and heart. Our multidisciplinary teams bring deep clinical expertise and a shared commitment to treating each individual with dignity, respect, and compassion. Our care teams include:
- Licensed medical practitioners
- Registered nurses
- Licensed therapists
- Qualified mental health professionals
- Certified Nursing Assistants
- Trained mental health technicians and support staff
We work side-by-side and across disciplines to create a safe, supportive environment where healing can begin. Every interaction matters. Together, we focus on building trust, supporting stability, and helping individuals reconnect with hope, purpose, and the possibility of a meaningful life beyond treatment.
See What Sets Us Apart
Jory Behavioral Health has several locations across Oregon, with more set to open in the near future. All our facilities are locked with team members and a nurse on-site 24 hours a day. This keeps our clients safe and ensures interactions with the community are closely controlled.
